Joe grew up enjoying the oceans of Virginia Beach and the mountains of the
Blue Ridge. At four Joe lost his father. In the years following Joe’s mother
struggled with mental illness and depression. Through the grace of God, Joe came
to know Christ through a friend in college at Virginia Tech. After college, Joe
joined the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ where he served for over 18 years.
Joe now desires for God to use the wisdom and experience he has gained in Christ
to reach others with the healing power of the gospel.Debby grew up a Hoosier in Indianapolis. Her family spent virtually every
Sunday morning, evening and Wednesday night in church. Because of this positive
exposure to the gospel, Debby became a Christian at the age of eight. Although
she became a Christian at a young age, it wasn’t until college that she started
to grow. As a freshman at Ball State she came to know more deeply the role
of the Holy Spirit in her life. She also followed God’s call and served with
Campus Crusade staff.
We began dating at our assignments in Southern California and were married on
August 9, 1986. For the last 18 years we have had the privilege to minister to
college and high school students, international students and missionaries, and
church leaders and lay people.
Now living in Orlando, recently God has called us to help in the area of reaching and repairing
families and young people in the area of spiritual and character growth and
development – an area that is sorely needed in our culture today. The context
the Lord has given us for making disciples is by developing church planting
movements and character-based leadership groups. It is in these small
relationally-based "growth communities" that the
safety and intimacy needed for developing biblical maturity can be established.
In addition, we are available as a resource for workshops, retreats and
Christian counseling. We hope you will join with us as a partner in ministry as we seek to make an
eternal difference in the lives of people!
